Sandhurst Theology Scholarships 2022

Theology Scholarships Banner 860
The Diocese is again offering scholarships for Sandhurst parishioners to study theology at a post-graduate level in Semester II, 2022.  The initiative aims to support the mission formation of parishioners who, are already in or are seeking pastoral leadership roles in the Diocese.  The courses will be delivered online by Catholic Theological College Melbourne.

The scholarships will subsidise approved post-graduate level theology coursework delivered online by Catholic Theological College, Melbourne. Scholarship recipients may choose to study a particular unit of theology and/or, study for credit towards a post-graduate qualification. There is a professional attainment pathway for those who have not studied at a tertiary level before.

Bishop Shane says the initiative will ultimately help parish communities.  “The Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst has a strong record in adult faith formation, and this initiative builds on those foundations,” he said. “I am especially interested in providing support to parishioners who hold pastoral leadership roles in our parishes.” Bishop Shane hopes that scholarship recipients will study together in small local groups.

The scholarships will be administered through the office of Dr Chris Cotter, Director of Mission and Pastoral Life.

Applications are now open and can be made via an online form.

Applications close on 17 June 2022.

Successful applicants will be notified by 24 June 2022.
