ACYF Speakers

The first round of Presenters for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival has been named. They include local and international guests with diverse talents and stories to take you on an adventure, surrendering to God’s love, and leading you to explore and embrace your own path to celebrate and live out your faith in the everyday.

 

 

Fr Rob Galea 

Our very own priest and musician, ‘his purpose will inspire you, his passion will quicken you and his love for Jesus will captivate you. Fr Rob is an evangelist at heart and uses all he has and does to let anyone who would listen know their worth, dignity and purpose in life.’

Born in Malta, Fr Rob moved to Australia as a seminarian.  He is the founder and Executive Director of ICON Ministry, a charity organisation that ministers to over 2 million people each year across the globe.

ACYF Katie Prejean McGradyKatie Prejean McGrady

‘Having conversations, building community, making jokes and sharing the Faith everyday. Katie’s voice is distinct, helpful, and one to remember. With a background in education and youth ministry, Katie’s blend of humour and story telling is unique to listen to and learn from.’

Katie is the author of four books with Ave Maria Press and writes regularly for Blessed is She, Our Sunday Visitor and Aleteia. She appears as a Catholic commentator on CNN and is a consultant for the USCCB working group on youth and young adult ministry. In March 2021, Katie began hosting The Katie McGrady Show, a daily radio program covering pop culture, current events, Catholic news, how to live a life of abundant joy, and introduces listeners to a variety of engaging, dynamic and inspiring guests. Katie lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Tommy and daughters, Rose and Clare.

ACYF Sr Mary Grace SV Sr Mary Grace SV

A captivating speaker whose journey from a small-town girl to a Sister of Life is truly inspiring. With a heart full of compassion and a spirit that radiates joy, she shares transformative stories and profound insights. Her contagious enthusiasm empowers everyone to embrace their unique path and make a difference.

Sr Mary Grace, S.V. grew up in Sydney, graduating from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a degree in Theology. Captivated by the beauty of every human life, she worked in campus ministry and then entered the Sisters of Life – a relatively new religious order that began in New York, and now has Sisters all over the world. In 2023, Sr Mary Grace professed her final vows with the Sisters.

She first worked in Toronto, Canada, serving vulnerable pregnant women and their unborn children. Sr Mary Grace then served in the Evangelisation Mission in the Bronx and in Denver, where she currently resides. She is the co-host of the Sisters of Life Podcast 'Let Love' and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology.

ACYF Maggie CraigMaggie Craig 

Equipped with an MA in Theology, a B.A. in Catechetics and a gift for humour and story telling, Maggie travels the world as a speaker. “She uses hilarious anecdotes and profound truth-bombs to invite her listeners into the adventure of surrendering to God’s love and to the Church’s truth.”

Maggie hails from the U.S. and currently resides in Southern California.
Her first book, Friendship Reset: Ditch the Drama and Find Your Crew, A Practical Guide for Christians was published in February 2025 by Ave Maria Press. In her spare time, Maggie enjoys watching NBA basketball, trail running and eating breakfast foods – something Australians can well relate to.

ACYF Augie AngrisanoAugie Angrisano 

A gifted poet, lyricist, singer, hip-hop artist and entertainer, who aims to create high quality content for the Most High. Augie works full time on content creation and also releases music which can be found on his Spotify channel.

Born in Dallas, USA, Augie originally travelled to Melbourne to do a year of mission work where he met his wife Emily, cementing his decision to call Australia home.
