Welsh culture has long been renowned for its male choirs, with their mellifluous harmonies and sonorous hymns.

In the same month as the feast of St David, Patron Saint of Wales, the Welsh Male Choir of Melbourne will visit Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo.

This will be the choir’s first engagement at Bendigo’s Sacred Heart Cathedral.

“The program will include traditional favourites together with hymns and anthems which will allow us to exploit the cathedral’s unique and magnificent acoustics,” David Field said.

Guest artist for the concert is soprano Kate Amos who won the Welsh Male Choir Melbourne Singer of the Year Competition in 2016.

She is an accomplished, versatile and engaging singer with wide experience, including with Opera Australia.
