The Diocese of Sandhurst is pleased to announce the appointment of a new bishop.

The current Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, Most Rev Les Tomlinson D.D. has been appointed to Sandhurst by Pope Benedict XVI,

Bishop Tomlinson will be at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Presbytery, 66 Short Street, at 11.00am tomorrow, Saturday February 4. He will be delighted to meet the press.

It is anticipated that Bishop Tomlinson will be installed as the Seventh Bishop of Sandhurst, on Thursday March 1 by the Metropolitan of the Victorian Province – Archbishop Dennis Hart.
