1. Bishop Tomlinson joins students Nick Jones, Mason Rogers-Howden & teacher,
Carina Johns, at the Doxa OpenDay inOctober to celebrate its 10 years of education.
2. Br Peter Carroll FMS and Bishop Les Tomlinson officially open the Fourviere
building at Marist College Bendigo in August.
3. Director of Catholic Education Sandhurst, Mr Paul Desmond, with Bishop Leslie
Tomlinson and head of the CES Strategic Directions Committee, Mrs Margaret
McKenna, at the launch of the CES Strategic Directions 2017 - 2020.
4. Serra Club President Bernie Roney, Secretary Terry Clarke, Father Junjun Amaya,
Tom Fallon, Mitchell Edwards and Father Stephen Bolling.
5. Filipino Saint Pedro Calungsod was publicly venerated in Bendigo’s Hargreaves
Mall on November 19. The Mass and veneration was part of the Filipino
Community Fiesta which began with Mass at 9am, followed with music, food,
dance and friendship..
6. Catholic College Bendigo, 2016 Opening School Mass. College Captain Sam
Kane, Faith Captains Benjamin O’Brien and Gabrielle Henthorn and College
Captain Isabella Grech.
7. On November 4, young people from Sandhurst gathered for the final Stronger
rally of 2016. On the night there was a barbecue dinner provided by FCJ College,
Benalla music with Fr Rob Galea and the Stronger band, a testimony from a young
woman about her relationship with Jesus, a talk about every human being’s call to
holiness and a panel discussion where everyone was able to text in a question to be
answered by the panel members.
