Lyn Breen, Adult Faith Education Coordinator, to retire

Lyn Breen 350Having worked under the leadership of three bishops, there is no doubt that Lyn has seen much change over the years and holds a vast amount of knowledge about our diocese. Fortunately for us, she won’t be too far away.

Lyn has worked with commitment, passion and skill in Faith Education, Pastoral Ministry Formation, Accreditation and Spirituality. In recent years, Lyn has made a strong and enthusiastic contribution to the Diocesan Care for Creation Team.

Many of you have walked with Lyn in the faith education journey of our diocese and will have used the high-quality resources she has carefully designed to support parishes, families, and individuals. Many parishioners have had their experience of faith deepened and enriched thanks to Lyn’s resources, programs, seminars, and reflection days. All of us are deeply grateful for the gifts Lyn has brought to her role and for her unwavering support for all who contribute to the life of the Diocese.

Lyn has expressed her gratitude for all who have been part of her journey and says that she leaves with “joyful confidence that the ministry of faith education in the Sandhurst Diocese, at diocesan and local levels, is in very good hands.”

Lyn’s last day of work at the Chancery will be Friday 28 January 2022. For those who would like to farewell Lyn, there will be an online celebration on Thursday 27 January 2022. Details will be supplied to parishes soon.
