Bendigo is Ablaze!

For the first time in three years well-known Sandhurst priest, Fr Rob Galea and his band performed live for more than 1200 students over two days at the Ablaze Youth Festival at Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo last week.

The full-scale rock concert took place between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 .p.m. on Monday 1 August for senior primary students and on Tuesday 2 August for secondary students from Years 9 - 11.

This is also the first time that the Ablaze youth concert included an event for educators and Catholic Education Office staff, which took place on Monday afternoon at 4.15 p.m. – 5.15 p.m.

The event hit the right note with students of all ages with high-energy music, testimonials and liturgy. The event also included testimonials from notable local youth ministry speakers, along with Fr Rob and his band.

Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd; in partnership with FRG Ministry and Sandhurst Youth Ministry have been excited to present Ablaze in 2022 as part of the exploration of this year's theme, ‘Tell the Good News.’

The Ablaze Youth Day is an initiative of Catholic Education Sandhurst to reach out to young people, providing a forum that combines live music, engaging speakers and an opportunity for students to celebrate and learn about their faith.
