If you, or someone you know, loves to sing, 2026 could be a remarkable year to grow your gifts at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Scholarships
The Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir is offering three scholarships for students between Years five and twelve, and four Adult Bursaries (one each for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass).
Scholarships, valued at $1,750 per year, normally continue for the duration of primary and secondary schooling, subject to maintenance of satisfactory musicianship, weekly commitment during school terms and some extra commitments at Easter and Christmas.
Bursaries for Adults
The Adult Bursaries are valued at $2,400 per singer for a fixed 12-month term.
The scholarships and bursaries provide singers of all ages with a wonderful opportunity to sing liturgical music from both Catholic and ecumenical sources in one of Australia’s finest Cathedral churches, and to receive a financial contribution towards school or musical/vocal tuition.
Auditions will be held on Sundays after Mass between November and February.
