“It takes a village to raise a child,” old words of wisdom that are increasingly supported by research indicating that children thrive when surrounded by strong, connected communities. This idea sits at the heart of a new Catholic Education Sandhurst campaign with a signage featured at Bendigo’s Red Energy Arena.
Red Energy Arena, Bendigo, is one of Central Victoria’s busiest sporting and entertainment venues and welcomes more than 1.17 million visitors each year, hosts over 150 events annually, and sees more than 6,000 children take part in sport. In that environment, where families gather and communities intersect, the campaign reinforces a simple message: every child benefits from a team behind them.
Across Catholic Education Sandhurst’s 52 schools, that principle is lived daily. Teachers, leaders, support staff, families and parish communities work together across learning, wellbeing and pastoral care to support each child’s development. The focus is not only on academic achievement, but on forming confident, connected and supported young people equipped to thrive beyond the classroom.
